The next edition of the magazine "Art" is devoted to the culture of the Finno-Ugric peoples of the world. It opens with a "Roundtable" with the leaders of the Finno-Ugric movement in the Republic of Komi, in which the purposes, tasks, problems of the Finno-Ugric movement are covered..

Under the heading "Prose. Poetry" it proceeds with the publi-cation of the story "Бушков лёкысь лымсö гартö" by the Komi prose writer Nina Kuratova, narrating about destiny of a Komi boy, whose childhood was in the 30-s of the XX century. The famous Udmurt scientist and poet, Vladimir Vladykin has offered the maga-zine a selection of his verses. His poetry is original and originates in the mythology of the Udmurts. A student of the Tartu University, Nicholai Kuznetsov, has sent from Estonia translations to the Komi language products of young Estonian poets from the literary com-munity "Erakkond". The magazine again circulates the original and light dramatic art of Yuri Ekishev, and publishes his production "Two plays about kings" with a foreword from the famous actor, director and poet Sergey Yurskiy. Tatyana Kuznetsova offers the reader reflections concerning the tendencies of development of mod-ern Komi prose in the article "Comprehending Past Experiences".

In "Finno-Ugric Studies" the Estonian scientist Yulo Valk ex-amines the problems of the connection of the Estonian national reli-gion with Christian demonologist, Elin Rakhimov (Moscow) and traces Karelo-Finnish cosmogony myths in folklore and literary transfor-mations, Elena Markova reveals the Finno-Ugric components of Nikolay Kluev's creativity in the article "Zyryanskiy Isuus". "Art-fact" offers Irina Kotyleva's reflections on art criticism in her discussion of an exhibit in Finland of artists entitled "Ugrocultur". Under the heading "Reviews" Anatoliy Rakin acquaints us with the encyclopedia "Komi language". Irina Fadeeva considers the work of G.Tiraspolskiy on the creativity of Ivan Kuratov. Artur Arteev is shares with his impressions of a poetic evening "The Unknown poets of Russia", organized by "Pen-club".
